Damascode

Cloud and DevOps engineering for production systems

We implement cloud foundations, migration paths, Kubernetes platforms and CI/CD automation that your teams can operate. Consulting-only scopes are available for architecture reviews.

Business challenges & use cases

Cloud programmes fail when architecture, pipelines and ownership are unclear. We focus on engineering outcomes you can run, not generic managed services claims.

  • Legacy workloads that need a phased cloud migration without business disruption.
  • Kubernetes clusters without consistent deployment standards or observability.
  • CI/CD pipelines that bypass quality gates or security checks.
  • Cost growth without tagging, rightsizing or FinOps visibility.
  • Platform teams overwhelmed by ticket-driven environment requests.

Service capabilities

Cloud architecture and engineering

Landing zones, networking patterns and service design on AWS and Azure aligned to your policies.

Cloud migration and modernisation

Phased migration plans, workload assessment and implementation sprints with rollback paths.

Kubernetes engineering

Cluster hardening, workloads, ingress, secrets and release patterns suitable for regulated clients.

DevOps and CI/CD

Pipeline design, automated builds, tests and deployment flows integrated with your repositories.

Platform engineering

Golden paths, internal templates and self-service patterns where agreed with your platform team.

Observability and reliability

Logging, metrics, tracing and SLO-oriented runbooks within agreed scope (not 24/7 NOC unless contracted).

Example implementation scenarios

Engagements range from targeted pipeline fixes to multi-quarter platform programmes.

  1. 01

CI/CD hardening for a product team shipping weekly releases.

  2. 02

Kubernetes baseline for a new microservice domain with shared observability.

  3. 03

AWS landing zone adjustments before a customer portal go-live.

Engagement process

Step 1

Assessment

Current architecture, pipelines, risks and constraints.

1

Step 2

Target design

Agreed reference architecture and implementation backlog.

2

Step 3

Build

Incremental delivery in your cloud accounts and repositories.

3

Step 4

Handover

Documentation, runbooks and knowledge transfer to your operators.

4

Operating model clarity

We distinguish architecture advice, implementation delivery and ongoing operations. Damascode does not advertise 24/7 monitoring or full managed infrastructure unless explicitly scoped and resourced.

  • Work in your cloud accounts and identity model where required.
  • Change control aligned with your release windows.
  • Security and access policies respected on all environments.
  • Honest capacity planning for on-call or ops coverage.

Relevant technologies

Core cloud delivery includes AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD. Tooling is selected per programme.

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide 24/7 managed cloud operations?

Not by default. We deliver engineering implementation and documented runbooks. Extended operations require an explicit scope and staffing model.

AWS, Azure or both?

Both are core delivery areas. We align to the cloud you standardise on, including hybrid patterns when needed.

How is this different from IT consulting?

Consulting focuses on decisions and reviews. Cloud and DevOps engineering includes hands-on implementation of infrastructure and pipelines.

Can engineers join our existing platform team?

Yes, via team extension or nearshore squad models with agreed ceremonies and access.
