Accessibility
Accessibility statement
Damascode is a private software engineering company. This voluntary statement describes our accessibility work on the corporate website damascode.pt. It does not constitute legal certification, Selo Bronze/Silver/Gold accreditation, or a claim that Decreto-Lei 83/2018 applies to this private site.
- Conformance status
- Partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Some content and components are still being improved.
- Target standard
- WCAG 2.1 level AA (practical reference: Portuguese Selo Bronze criteria for public-sector digital services).
- Evaluation scope
- Public EN and PT pages: home, services (including Team Extension, Technology expertise, Nearshore, Outsourcing, IT Consulting, Cybersecurity, AI Consulting), About, Insights articles, Contact, Cookies, Consumer information, and this statement.
- Last technical update
Our commitment
We want international B2B buyers, public-sector prospects, and all visitors to use damascode.pt with common assistive technologies and keyboard-only navigation.
Accessibility improvements on this site are voluntary. Requirements for digital products and services delivered under public contracts are assessed separately (including EN 301 549 where applicable to the specific procurement).
Assessment approach
We combine code review, automated checks (axe-core via Playwright on representative routes), and manual keyboard testing. Full screen reader certification has not been completed across all templates.
Automated testing does not guarantee full WCAG conformance. We track remaining issues and planned fixes as part of our ongoing quality work.
Public-sector deliverables
When bidding for public technology work in Portugal, we review contract-specific accessibility clauses, applicable standards (often EN 301 549 referenced alongside WCAG), and acceptance criteria before committing.
Deliverables such as web applications, portals, or documents supplied to public entities are scoped for accessibility in line with the contract, not assumed from this corporate statement alone.
Known limitations
- Some third-party external links and PDFs outside our control may not meet our target.
- Complex data tables in Insights articles may require horizontal scrolling on small viewports; we provide scrollable regions and continue to refine mobile layout.
- As of 31 October 2026, automated axe-core checks on twelve representative routes reported zero critical violations; serious issues are reviewed individually. Full NVDA and VoiceOver audits across all templates have not been completed.
- Manual checks performed: keyboard navigation (skip link, main menu, cookie banner, contact form validation and success region), and visible focus on primary interactive components. Assistive technology sessions with NVDA or VoiceOver were not run in this remediation cycle.
- Historical marketing copy may still be updated for plain language and heading structure.
